Part of everything

When

you're feeling disconnected

Wherever I go, whomever I meet, I see myself in them. Because I am a part of everything. I am love.

Inspired by concepts of interconnection across spiritual traditions

This illustration explores the thread of interconnection that runs through multiple wisdom traditions—the idea that recognizing our common humanity makes compassion flow easier.

The work captures how viewing others as reflections of ourselves rather than separate beings, shifts everything.

When someone else's struggle feels relatable, empathy arrives naturally. When their joy feels shared, celebrating them becomes genuine—not performative.

The "I am a part of everything. I am love" declaration draws from various spiritual perspectives: Buddhist teachings on non-separation, Christian concepts of universal love, humanist recognition of our shared experience.

But here's the nuance: there's healthy empathy (recognizing shared humanity) and unhealthy boundary dissolution (losing where you end and they begin).

Connection needs both recognition of sameness AND respect for difference.

The "to get, give" suggests reciprocity, though real love isn't purely transactional.

Sometimes self-care means receiving without immediately giving back. Balance matters.

When did you last show love?

Do you find it easier to give to others or to yourself?

How does that balance affect your well-being?

How do you practice giving and receiving?

Connection with boundaries

This explores recognizing shared humanity while respecting difference. Wear it as reminder of interconnection, or as prompt to express care actively—both to others and yourself. Available as hoodies, tees, mugs, and canvas.
