They stood where the Atlantic wind meets ancient links. Where the dunes rise like something dreamed. Where golfers make pilgrimages from every corner of the world just to say they've been. And they couldn't quite arrive! Not because Ireland didn't show up - it showed up completely; it always does.

But the mind had other plans - the wives were at home! The group chat was going, the golf moment kept slipping just out of reach.
